Business Situation

The company uses an internally developed system to handle several areas of their business. The system tracks customers, sales, jobs, and handles all the accounting. An IT service company was needed to step in and build additional functionality to the system along with fix existing issues.

Solution

Access Programmers stepped in and fixed several known existing issues with the system. Issues remedied included inaccurate pricing of jobs and various reporting issues.

Generating Bank File

Additional functionality was developed to create a file to send to the company’s bank. The file contains a check register of customer payments.

Tracking Inventory

A new module was built onto the system to track and report on the company’s materials in inventory. The inventory module was built onto the existing system to continue to keep the most of the operations in a centralized system.

The updated system enables the company to operate more efficiently and effectively. Employees are able to spend more energy serving their customers and less time on mundane time consuming tasks which are now automated.
